ABOUT OUR COMPANY

Our History

Health and Treatment Organization for Afghans (HTOA) is an independent, non-profit, and non-political organization officially registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan under registration number 6161, with its main office located in Herat Province, the organization has been dedicated to fostering positive change.

HTOA aimed at empowering vulnerable groups in society—such as children, women, the elderly, and youth. Through a wide range of programs, the organization strives to address critical community needs and create lasting impact.

OUR OBJECTIVES

Our Main Objectives

  • Improve access to essential health services for women, children, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups across Afghanistan.
  • Provide quality MHPSS services to women and individuals affected by conflict and trauma, GBV and SEA.
  • Enhance livelihood through empowerment programs (e.g. vocational and skills training) for women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
  • Deliver emergency relief including food, shelter, NFIs, and hygiene support to vulnerable populations.
  • Construct and rehabilitate safe shelters for displaced persons, returnees, and women at risk.
  • Promote community awareness on health, hygiene, and disease prevention, focusing on women and families.
  • Strengthen coordination with government, UN, NGOs, and community leaders for effective service delivery.
